Description
Here is a very nice Marblehead Pottery vase in their classic spherical shape. It is covered in a smooth and even dark matte blue glaze that they called "Marblehead Blue". The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. This piece measures 3 1/4 inches tall and 5 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just one small dimple in the glaze. Marked on the bottom under the glaze with the firms die-stamped MP with ship and waves mark. A good piece by a great New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.
